How can we start a campaign for routine tongue tie checks to be done?

After reading This Mumsnet Blog it brought back all the bf failure I had with DS (now 19 months). I am convinced he had/has tongue tie & that's what stopped him latching properly. However tongue tie was something I didn't know about until it was too late & when I asked my health visitor the attitude seemed to be that tongue tie was rare & just not on the post-natal NHS radar at all! I had loads of help in hospital but like the blogger above, tongue tie was never mentioned once. I have read loads of similar struggle stories on here too.

When I think about how easily my concerns were dismissed I still get angry even now. A simple snip could've been all I needed to bf successfully. So after reading the blog I think it's high time tongue tie becomes a routine check after birth especially if there are feeding problems. The question is how on earth would I/we even start a proper campaign for this??
