not night weaning bfing toddler?

Has anyone not done anything to proactively night wean their bfing toddler? And if so how long did they carry on feeding at night for?

DD is 18 months and still in love with my boobs. I night weaned her two older brothers but right now I feel that feeding her in the night is less hassle than attempting to night wean her. We co-sleep and I am rarely awake enough to make a conscious decision to do anything other than stick a boob in her mouth. On nights when I am fed up with it all I do sometimes tell her milkies are asleep and she will sometimes accept that, but sometimes she just really wants milk.

If I continue with this lazy parenting approach what will happen?????
(DS1 didn't sleep through until he was in school so I do not have high expectations. DS2 I simply cannot remember what happened... They're 9 and 7 now)

me.

he's now 3 and 7 months and feeds regularly through the night, sometimes seemingly attached ALL night.

Sometimes I hate it. he has 'slept through' twice in his life.

However I am too lazy to go through all the faff.

Night weaned DS1 around 19 months, didn't do anything with DS2 (who was always less of a night waker anyway) and he basically stopped waking up at night around 19 months as well. He's 21 months now and does still very occasionally demand MIIIIIIUUUUUUUULK at 2am (usually when it's been really hot or, lately, when he's been going through some mad spurt and learning five new words every day) but more often than not I get a full night's sleep. Every child grows out of it eventually, some earlier than others...

Thanks, nice to know I'm not the only one. There always seems to be some reason why it's not the right time (too hot, teeth, ill, growth spurt, DH or DSs need sleep rather than listening to screaming, I need sleep rather than listening to screaming etc etc etc). Think I would go insane if she was 3 and a half though, I take my hat off to you TheFairies.....

Me! Me!

He just randomly stopped feeding at night.

Still has a tiny bf before bed and after story.

Dh did get a bit more involved in going through for some night wakings, he's a very deep sleeper though so not that many!

Only took 26 months...

He was at one wake a night for a few months, then suddenly, none!

I'm still not used to it and keep waking up. :-\
