Ds is getting difficult to feed when there's lots going on around him, too distracted. So that makes feeding in public difficult. I remember this with the dd's - very inconvenient stage. As far as I remember they get over it though at some stage - or don't they?

I think that depends on the Baby...some are nosier then others, lol!
Have to say, that that was the stage when I would try to feed in private whereever I could, lol!

My dd is just 4 months old and impossible to breatsfeed where there is anything going on at all as she is so distracted - any tips anyone??

UniSarah · 09/09/2006 18:43

My ds copes better with distrations if hes actully hungrey rather than being fed coz I think its been a while and he might be peckish. Me not talking hleps too.

Oh i remember too, milk everywhere in my case

Didn't last too long as far as I remember x

Going through this too with DS, 4 months. I find he feeds better when we're lying down but obviously that cannot be done in public !!

I find draping a muslin cloth over his head/face whilst feeding sometimes help if there is lots going on around.

BabyDragon's really bad at this. far worse than the boys were. And the little darling doesn't s*dding well let go of the nipple when she looks round either!!

I did a woeful smile when I read your post, SD. Blooming well hurts, doesn't it?

This is a tough one. Mine kept coming off the breast to have a look around even when it was just DH coming into the room (he is a very nosey one even more so now as a toddler !!) exposing my boob in public !
I resorted to feeding him in private. Not always easy to do, but if I was at someone elses house I would take him into another room to feed or in a shop it would be a nursing room or in the car. That way he had no distractions and I could stay modest too

I never tried wearing a necklace to amuse him, it might be worth a short though with a younger baby.

Sorry, just realised I put brackets in the wrong place, I meant DS is nosey, not DH
