When do i switch to the next formula?

Hi all, can anyone tell me at what age do i switch my newborn from their first formula powder (#1 from birth) to the next type?

You don't. The next one up is a marketing gimmick.

You don't need to switch at all. They only make toddler formula so that they can advertise it (companies are not allowed to advertise baby formula).

Generally babies need formula till they're 12 months and can then switch to full fat milk.

Marketing one at over six months means the formula companies can get round advertising restrictions. They are pretty much the same. Mine stayed on the first milk.

The NHS advice is to stick with first infant milk until switching to cow's milk.

You don't need to, but you might want to (after 6 months) because they are allowed to do offers on 'follow on' milk, so it is often cheaper. But be aware that they put lots of iron in it, so it can cause constipation.
