He was last changed at 10.30 last night, fed/sucked on and off during the night (he sleeps with me so I don't keep track) but at 6.30 this morning his nappy was only very slightly wet.

Is this because he isn't getting enough milk? He's never had a bottle, is it too late to give him one? Should I? He wakes a lot to feed, is this because he is not getting enough?

I don't weigh him , just go by clothes so I don't know if he is gaining properly.

It's just very hot at the moment, I wouldn't worry. If you are concerned get him weighed though.

Thanks, I was about to run out to buy a bottle and milk powder. I will get him weighed, the clinic is on a Wednesday, I just don't like the sure start centre it's held in. Thanks again

I had this night before last. Clean nsppy before bed at 6.45. Changed about 11ish before feed and was totally dry - not even a trickle to make the line change colour. I went into a real panic and assumed we'd be off to the doctor or maybe even dialling 111 if she hadn't been soon. Woke for her next feed at about 3am was totally back to normal. I just assumed maybe the hot weather? I'd say try bit to worry over one nappy but maybe keep an eye on the next few.

For some reason my DS always has relatively dry nappies overnight. His nighttime nappy change before bed tends to take place at about 9pm and then is changed again at 5am. Even though he has fed within those times his 5am nappy is very dry about 90% of the time. However, when it is next changed at about 8-9am it is usually soaked and weighs an absolute ton!!!

Don't worry yourself too much unless he continues to have dry nappies.

Thank you, I feel much better. I'm so used to him waking up leaky, it was a shock. I'll get him weighed tomorrow. It's a drawback of breast feeding that you can't see what they are getting
