First timer breastfeeder and I really should google some facts, I think I wasn't expecting it to come easily and was prepared to fail therefore didn't research prior to baby.
Anyway my Q for now:
Baby is a week old, feeding well, weight going back on- yay!
She's feeding right now and I would LOVE a glass of white with popcorn whilst watching greys ...am I right in assuming she's too young and it would get to her tru the milk?

I think the suggestion is if you're ok to drive, you're ok to feed. I did when I was bfing and plan to again. I needed the odd glass!
Congratulations on the weight gain, bfing can be quite hard work initially but so worth it Grin

I'm a peer supporter. Have a glass. She'll be fine. And congratulations. Smile

Ok to drive, ok to nurse was/is my motto.

Congratulations and enjoy!

Congratulations! I so looked forward to my glass of red wine in the evening at the weekend.
I timed my glass just after a feed to give my body time to process it. It's a lovely time of year to have a baby. Enjoy every second xx

Just don't get trashed, and don't take her into bed with you after drinking.

If you're sober enough to look after a baby, you're sober enough to feed them.

Thanks for the info girls. I ended up freezing the wine by accident :D so another time.
Another question... Re.pumping. I don't want to
Pump really as it's not necessary but would like 2oz in the fridge the weekend as planning lunch out with friends and it's incase I'm running late ( guess it's just to relieve some worry of her screaming)...she's never drank from a bottle tho, it's too early ?

It's up to you of course, but it's usually recommended to wait until about six weeks to start bottle feeding/pumping because your supply is still getting established and baby is still learning. You could just take her along? If you do decide to express, lots of mothers find a good time to express is in the morning after a feed. There is also info about on baby friendly bottle feeding, one good tip is to touch her lip with a teat as you do with a nipple and wait for her to gape really wide as she does when bf.

Hope you have a lovely lunch. Smile
