one bf a day - is it of benefit?

I breastfeed my 13 month old once a day in the mornings. I enjoy it and kept it going as it was nice to have that 'close time' when I went back to work in June. I'm a teacher so I've just had the last 6 weeks off but have continued to give dd that one bf a day. It's a habit now and I don't intend to stop it quite yet but I was wondering if bf just once a day was actually all that beneficial to the baby? If it isn't then I might think about stoppping it as I would like to get my cycle back to a regular-ish pattern in order to have a go at conceiving again in the new year. It took us about 8 months to conceive dd. It took my periods over 12 months to get back to normal after coming off the pill, we started trying about 6 months into those 12 months (probably should just have waited for thinks to really return to normal!) and conceived after trying for about 6 or 7 cycles.

Anyway, would love to know of anyone else who is or has been in a similar position.

Thanks!

ANy breastmilk is good- so yes to give 1 feed a day is better than no feed a day-
If you are enjoying giving it & baby enjoying receiving it- then keep going... its full of goodness, oboviously the more they have the more goodness they receive.. but 1 feed will still be giving alot of goodness. x

coming off the pill is probably far different from periods returning due to dropping bf. i am sure i started ovulating at least 2 months before my period returned.
