Lopsided - even up supply or blocked duct..?

hoping someone might have had the same experience..! Ds is almost 6 weeks old and ebf. After a shaky first week it's been going well, but over the last 2-3 days I've noticed some changes? E.g. Ds is sleeping slightly longer (5 hours one night!) and has been more interested in having a go at the second boob during a feed, whereas before now he tended to just have one boob and be satisfied at each feed, and about 2 days ago I woke up with two soft boobs which made me think supply was starting to settle down.

Problem is that now my right boob is now consistently much bigger and harder than the left. I've noticed a size difference before so just assumed initially that it meant the right boob was 'next' but it's staying bigger :s

I've googled and think it's either one of two things - a difference in supply between sides, in which case advice from kellymom is to focus more on the softer smaller side (kellymom.com/bf/got-milk/lopsided/) (but this doesn't help relieve pressure in big boob !) or alternatively the start of a blocked duct (which I dread....) in which case I think I should focus feeding on the big boob to help clear it!

Any idea which is the best course of action?

Tough one, I had the same issue. Is the larger one painful or just bigger?

Have you been paying attention to which side is next? I'd make sure alternating for a few feeds and check size, and keep eye on pain and hardness and other signs of blocked ducts.
