Anyone ever used wool breast pads?

Just that really.

LO is three weeks old and I am soaking thru the lansinoh breast pads at a ridiculous rate.

I read on another thread that women in Norway use wool breast pads which have a really high absorbtion rate and can be reused.

Have found a UK stockist and am tempted to try them but wanted to hear from anyone who had used them before I commit.

I used cotton ones and washed them every day they were much easier than the paper ones

I had a couple of wool ones but they were really itchy. Cotton ones are good once you're not like a running tap.

I had very sore nipples and found disposable softer for that - but only some of them , lanisoh was the best for me.

later on I got some cotton and bamboo ones - bamboo very soft but not great on coping with lots of leakiness.

NCT sell silk pads in their online shop. I might get some as I'm also soaking through the Lansinoh disposable ones at an alarming rate (DD 19 days old)!

I don't get how wool could possibly absorb as much as the lansinoh ones tbh. I reckon they must hold at least 30ml or so, when full they feel incredibly heavy! I tried cloth which were useless, soaked through in seconds.

I biught some woollen ones and felt a bit conned! Lansinoh ones work well for me.

I used bamboo Little Lambs ones. They need at least 10 washes before they are absorbent - like cloth nappies.
