Any tips for successful bfing with enormous boobs?

Dd is 3 weeks and I've struggled a lot with bfing so far. Dd's latch is still a work in progress but most of the other probs I'm having seem to be breast size related (currently 32j, pre preg 30h). Does anyone have any advice on the issues below?

I have to hold my breast while feeding letting it hang is too uncomfortable, but this means feeding always takes two hands. Dd feeds for two hours at a stretch normally and I getting weak through lack of food and water. This is the major issue.

I can't fathom how to feed discreetly in public.

I can't find any suitable clothes for breast feeding and am felling pretty miserable at the thought of being stuck in dh's shirts for 6 months. (I have had a bra breakthrough- elomi underwired - it doesn't fit perfectly but it's amazing after the non underwired ones!)

The weight of my boobs is giving me back ache.

Any ideas or experiences gratefully received!

It's completely your choice re a breastfeeding cover, but my mum always comments on how discreet I am, and my boobs are bigger than DD's head too. This is a huge compliment from a woman who took it up one herself to comment on my cleavage stretch marks yesterday Confused

these are the peeps that will sell you and off the shelf anita 5035 up to a j cup or will alter the back to get bigger cup sizes (eg 2 inches out of a 34j makes it a good approximation of a 32k)

Jane is v helpful by phone/email.

We had a lady with exactly this issue today at the bf support group I volunteer at. The lactation consultant says that the main thing is to get baby right underneath the boob so the weight of the boob is supported on the baby!

Alternatively she says you can use a scarf to create a boob sling that will gently support your entire boob hands free. Just make sure not to have it so the scarf digs into the breast tissue at any point, as this can cause blocked ducts.

A midwife in hosp when I had d suggested that I use my free hand to shape my nipple so that dd could latch on easily. I also used cushions to prop her up so that I had one hand free too! Good luck :)

I'm a 30H. Found one great bra at bravissimo. Good support and shape. I feed with baby kneeling on my lap. So much easier. He's now 16 weeks and head proportion is better but when he was teeny tiny I just put a pillow or jumper on my lap. I think it is also called the natural nursing position? I was recommended this due to very fast let down but it is so easy. DS leans head against my arm and kind of face plants in my boob. When he was really small I had to hold my boob away from his nose and still do for the start of the first feed as I go a couple of cup sizes bigger overnight. But the rest of the time he's really stable and well balanced giving me a free hand to eat. I do have to cover his shoulder with a muslin to avoid food drips..
I have the cutest photo from when he was little with this tiny head in my boob and his arm cuddling it!
I also favour the vest underneather a flexible top....

Oh Lost - I love the boob hug! It only works with big boobs. Not so great in the night with cold little hands but so cute.
