Nursing strike - help!

My 12 mo DS is teething terribly with some bigger back teeth and has gone right off the boob. I've read on kellymom and others about nursing strikes and what to do but I'm still finding it incredibly upsetting as usually when he teethes he's a boob monster! He's quite subdued one minute and then screaming and throwing tantrums over tiny things the next. Never seen him like this so it must be distressing him too Confused please tell me it'll get better, or should I try to wean???

My DD did this, I can't remember at age... (I fed her until she was 2) I found that sharing baths with her on my tummy and an afternoon in bed with me with no top on did the trick. I didn't force anything, just had lots of snuggles and made sure my boobs were very accessible! Good luck, I remember how upset I was at the time!

My ds did this. Lots of skin to skin. I contacted the la leche league who recommended cancelling all plans for a couple of days and keep offering breast. Lots of baths together etc.
you might need to express to keep supply up.
Ds was younger but think I was advised to express every couple of hours,

Thanks ladies. I will try the bath and going to finish work early and just keep trying, in a no pressure way. I am pumping but I don't seem to be able to get much out. I usually pump at work and get 3-4oz from one boob easily although I did notice last week it seemed to go down a bit. Today I've barely got an ounce from both boobs! Hmm

DD is doing the same right now and on day 8 I think.

It's left me terribly :( and not sure if this might mean the end. She's nearly 10 months old.

Oh and I hope you get this sorted soon. Poor thing with his teeth.

I would address the pain unless you are against painkillers etc.
