Expressing for constant feeder, how?

Ds2 is nearly 7 weeks and still quite a constant feeder. If I started expressing to give him the odd bottle, how would I do it for a constant feeder?

I'm worried that if I express he would then want milk straight away and there would be none left? He has no pattern to his feeding.

Sorry, I sound completely clueless because well..I am!

Tia :)

Babies are much more efficient at getting milk out than pumps so even if you pump till absolutely nothing more will express, your baby will probably still be able to get another couple of ounces. Believe me I know cos my baby always senses when I've pumped and get jealous and feeds like a demon after and always gets plenty!!

If you have an electric pump you can express on one side while your baby feeds the other side. Feeding your baby normally stimulates an easier milk let down than just pumping. I think it's meant to be easier to express milk in the morning.

Thankyou both! Have borrowed a breast pump from a friend so will b starting tonight hopefully, if he doesn't cluster again.

Woodifer - great tip about feeding on one side and pumping on the other, will try it as have been struggling to get time to pump.have eight week old Ds and two year old DD. Last time round had lots of milk expressed and it helped keep me sane as I could get the occasional break
