5 mo ebf dd has had really sticky, mucusy dark green poos for a couple of weeks now - is this normal? Teething? Digestion becoming more efficient? Or something bad??

I'm no expert but didn't want to read and run.
We were driving ourselves mad over green nappies in the early days when DS wasn't gaining weight so I would spend nights endlessly googling it.
I remember reading that teething can be a cause. Other causes I remember include colds, being on antibiotics, general illness and just because it happens sometimes.
If it carries on and you're worried maybe give your HV a call but IIRC there are lots of harmless reasons it can happen.

As far as I remember, if it's frothy, it can be a sign of getting too much hindmilk, but with mucus etc it might be a cold, or maybe even something in your diet? www.atlantabirthdoula.com/2013/10/dr-jack-newman-comments-on-green-breastmilk-poop/

No, it's not like frothy bright green early days poo, it's more like the slimy dark green sludge you get at the bottom of ponds and streams iyswim! She's 5 mo and I'm wondering whether this is a sign I should start weaning (in case it indicates a lack of nutrients???)

If you are concerned ask your Hv. But it sounds within normal if your baby is otherwise healthy and growing. Nothing indicates lack of nutrients and it's not a sign of solids being needed.
