I hate you. I hate the way you course my baby pain even when she's on meds.
I hate the way you make her teeny hands scrunch up and pummel my boob when she's hungry but in pain.
I hate the way you've made me try two types of formula because I don't want her to hurt any more.
I hate the tears you bring and that I'm constantly telling her it will be over soon when she's a bit older.
We will beat you though. We've got through a traumatic birth so fuck you up the bum.
We are seeing a cranial osteopath as well so neh neh!
If I have to hang a witchy type bundle above her rocker I will do but you will not beat us you wanker.
Fuck you, you fucking fuck.

Sorry ladies. Bad few weeks. Thought if I anthropaporphised the bastard that is reflux it would help me.

The tosser.

Oh poor you and your DD. Both my daughters have had reflux (of the pukey and non-pukey kind).

It's difficult to say whether formula will help, other than try it and see. I would say only go with an anti-reflux one. If it makes it worse, it could be Cow's milk protein intolerance (both my DDs had this). No test for it unfortunately. If she is in pain, will they try her on Omeprazole? None of the other meds touched my DD2 but this worked really well (only LOSEC mups) and make sure you find what the maximum safe dose is. Some babies need quite a high dosage to be comfortable.

gracegrape what happened with the cows milk intolerance? Did they grow out of it? I'm currently trying to work out if my DD is intolerant - I went dairy free for a week and she had a good week, just a couple of bad days. Then I ate dairy yesterday and today she's cried loads, puked quite a bit (she didn't used to puke much so I actually thought it might be silent reflux) and she's sounded like she's in pain all day. Wish I knew whether it's the dairy or not as finding it so hard to cut it out of my diet so would hate to do it for no reason. I'm also thinking maybe she needs to get used to it to become tolerant.

ladymalfoy I'm really sorry, it's totally unfair and I hope it improves for you and your DC really soon.

Because of a poonami witnessed by doc she is being treated for gastroenteritis . I explained I was on antibiotics.
She is going to be tube fed my expressed milk and Dioralite.
Therefore according to the docs reasoning the puking is not reflux really but D and V.
I have absolutely no faith left in the docs here.
We'll be discharged tomorrow.
Cranial osteopath on Thursday.
Please god I hope that works.
Thanks to all who are posting and offering support and ideas.

Interestingly, my DD1 who had the extremely vomity form of reflux did suffer from a lot of D and V. It was usually easy to tell when she had D and V as opposed to the usual reflux vomiting though. I hope the treatment helps. At least you can be assured she is being fed.

Who prescribed the medication your DD is currently on. Are they helpful and supportive? I hope the cranial osteopath helps too. I had a good experience of it following my DD2s tongue tie snip.

Alexandra she grew out of the intolerance. I gradually started reintroducing it from about the age of 2 and now she has everything. She was also intolerant to gluten and egg and is fine now. She even has ice-cream. She won't drink cow's milk though because she doesn't like it.
