I'm asking this question because I'm watching my 16 week old EBF ds going crazy on the bed kicking his legs and flailing his arms like a lunatic for 15 minutes!!!

He has not long been fed and at about 2.30pm, I ate a slice of warm apple pie with ice cream and maple syrup!

Could there be a link?!

My 15 week old ebf DS does this in the mornings in general so I doubt related to sugar intake. I agree that does sound like a great dessert and I am jealous!

Stop making me hungry and Envy
Lovely pudding and a snuggly baby to BF.

Never noticed what I ate or drank having any effect on DD2
(Although many years of secong hand coffee, might explain why she can guzzle Coca Cola without it keeping her awake)

I think caffeine may make a difference. But I don't think your sugar intake does - your milk always contains lactose, but I don't believe the level of lactose is dependent on how much sugar you ingest. Ah, look, Kellymom says as much too - look down near the bottom.

Aww - sounds lovely... Suspect its more a development thing and your baby is learning how to use his/her arms and legs
