Hey all,
To all new mums really I wanted to say that it does get easier, my DD is 6 weeks and my first baby. I never ever knew how hard those few weeks would be! Harder than I ever imagined that's for sure! And what with the baby blues it made it tougher. Every day for 3-4 weeks I felt like chucking it in, I just tried to make it to end of each day, then I would tell myself I'll keep going to she's 3 weeks old, then 4 weeks old. Now I'm thinking I may make it to 2 months!! (Possibly beyond!) even now I have bad days but mostly it's so much better and easier and everyone who said it gets easier is rite!!! Thank you to support I got on mumsnet as I had no other source of support in those early weeks.... My friends all bottle fed and hadn't got out to any groups so this site was helpful. Keep going new mums if you want to!

Well done - it's great that you've persevered through those difficult early days. I had a very hard time with dd who refused to latch so expressed for 6 weeks before moving to formula. I'm now 19 weeks in feeding ds and although it's easy now it certainly hasn't been along the way! I had awful nipple pain and soreness with dd's tongue tie snipped at 8 weeks but this didn't help the situation. It's been tough but I'm really proud that I stuck at it and have no plans to stop at the moment. So keep going and enjoy!

We'll done for preserving.

I was still struggling a lot at 6 weeks. DS has a TT that was first snipped then. Then again at 7 weeks and at 9 and it still regrew! Luckily by 10 weeks I didn't care anymore as I had found my feet.

Still feeding a almost two Shock and love it Smile

Well done. It's a great feeling as those first weeks can be awful.

Woo hoo Hotmad. It really does get easier, but those first few weeks are hard going.

I am at almost 6 months with DD2 after a difficult start - TT and having to express and bottle feed for over a week - but am so glad I persevered.

I mix fed DD1 and stopped BF at 4 months.

It's bliss not to have any bottles to wash and sterilise and so easy just to get out and about without having to think about feeding.

Even easier in the night, as DD2, likes to feed quite a bit - I don't even need to get out of bed!

Well done good to hear,DS is now 9 weeks and I'm totally enjoying every minute of breast feeding after falling apart the 1st weeks. DS has also started smiling and laughing which makes it so rewarding after each feed. To all new moms out there it does get better....it's just like the 1st trimester of pregnancy when we feel sick all the time and think it won't get better and before we know it sickness and nausea is all over....so this is just another phase of motherhood.
