I've made the decision to move my 7mo on to FF.

She has always been a boob monster but is getting worse, I go back to work soon and will need us to be in more of a routine by then.

At the moment she feeds 4/5 times during the day and I'm happy to swap these slowly (1 a week) for FF. It's night time I'm worried about, sometimes she feeds 3 times in the night, will this stop? Will I have to give her a bottle in the night?

Formula won't make her sleep anymore than breast milk so I expect you will have to give bottles in the night until she outgrows them. We used to make them in advance (with the correctly hot water), store them in the fridge and then stick them in a flask of hot water for a couple of minutes before giving them to DD.

I moved LO from bf to ff when he was 5/6 months old. When I stopped bf during the night, he went from 3 wake ups to 1 wake up. He now sleeps thru 5 night out of 7... We're working on the other two! He's now 9 months.

My LO woke for a cuddle and comfort. So when I sent in his dad, he wasn't getting the comfort feed, he stopped doing it. I'm not say ur LO will be the same, but that how it worked for us.

I started switching my DS at the same age, I actually started with the night feeds because he was waking for the comfort of boob. Have to say it worked for me after a few weeks he was sleeping way better. I just got the cartons, put carton, bottle and scissors on my bedside locker at night and it was just as handy as boob, only DH could do it-bonus! It took another month before I started FF during the day, i couldn't get used to the faffing with powder, but got there eventually. Just give yourself plenty of time.

Oh same Lolly! I thought it was just me because so many people come on saying FF won't necessarily help them sleep, but for me it did and obviously for you. Mine was a comfort feeder too so maybe that's the common denominator!

Oh and then I started offering water instead of formula because sometimes they are just a bit thirsty, I'd have a bottle of cooled boiled water beside the bed
