Size of feed - mixed feeding

Am trying to get 12 week old dd to take occasional bottle.

She only seems to want to take abt 1-2 oz. is it possible this could be enough for her ? When breast feed she's only on breast for a few mins but is gaining well and is a good size.

She's just had abt 1 and a half oz of formula, I then offered her Breast as she was leaning in for it but she just had a quick suck and came off

What are others experiences of mixed feeding ?

Do you mean mixed feeding in the traditional sense (introducing solids) or something else?

If you want to change the milk feed pattern, what is the end state that you want?

I mean a combination of Breast and bottle feeding. Id like her to be able to take the occasional bottle so I can have a little freedom

I've started mixed feeding my 5 mo and he won't take more than 4 ozs at a time, think it's still little and often, I left him for a wedding, nearly 24 hours And he took 9 4 oz bottles, never takes anymore, sorry not much help

At that age DD only took 90 ml max (I think that's 3 oz?) per bottle, but that was given as a split feed at bedtime so she would still have a massive bf session after.

If she gets it during the day though (eg if MIL was babysitting) that normally lasted her for 2-3 hours.

I think if the weight gain is going ok then maybe that's all your LO needs at the moment?

My DD didn't increase her formula intake till she was about 4+ months (she's 9 months now).

BF babies tend to take smaller volume quantities so it doesn't surprise me she had just a few oz. If you offered boob afterwards and there was no interest then she's had enough. I would leave it another week or so to see how that progresses; she may become more used to bottles and take a little more.
