Is bf likely to fail again?

I'm 22 weeks pregnant with DC3 and was hoping to bf this time. I've tried with both previous DC with no success. With DC1 we managed about 2 weeks mixed feeding before quitting due to them taking a chunk out of me. It was also quite painful, with a sharp pain with each suck. DC2 I only managed a few days before stopping as he lost too much weight. The milk never seemed to come in at all that time. Both times they were latched on and positioned properly. They were both born by EmCS. I'm just wondering whether it would be possible to be successful this time. What can I do to boost supply?

Feeding as much as possible us the best way to boost your supply. It is relentless in the first few weeks and easy to panic and doubt yourself.

It sounds like you didn't get enough support last time (common unfortunately). So you have a le leche near you you could do to pre birth?

I also had emcs. My milk didn't come in til day 6.Had to give formula top ups. I hired a hospital grade pump and expressed until my supply caught up with dd's demand. It was really tough but totally worth it. I would say that you should perhaps try and start expressing before your op this time. Try biological nurturing to feed. If you Google it there's a video online. It saved us without a doubt. Absolutely lovely and pain free. Fenugreek capsules increase supply but I smelled strongly of curry when I took them! The more you feed or express the better your supply will be and there isn't a substitute for that. It's pretty brutal for the first few weeks but utterly fab after that. Good luck!

With both of them they were almost constantly attached. With DS2 I couldn't express anything and with DS1 I maybe got an ounce after doing it for over an hour.

I found at the beginning, and even months in, when I'm stressed I just can't release milk. I think having had an emcs added to this.
As well as rl support I would recommend kellymom pages on slow let down.
