Not sure what the answer is but my 19 week old has been doing this for a few weeks now :( she either wakes every 2 hours all night long or wakes and stays awake for 2 hours.
I'm so tired and can't remember waft I was going to say :/
I hope it gets better soon for both of us.

My (big 8kg) 17 week old was doing something similar for the past few weeks up until a week ago when we moved him into his cot in his own room. Before that he was sleeping in a rocking crib in our room and waking and feeding every 1.5-2 hours. I had the same hunger/comfort/growing questions. Is your LO still in with you? The move seems to have done the trick for us...

Yeah I co sleep can't bear the thought of actually getting out of bed that often! Maybe worth giving it a try tho. He was 18lb 10oz bout 2 weeks ago so id say quite a big boy too. It does make me feel better knowing it's not just me Smile

Tbh I can't imagine getting out of bed and going to the other room gazillion times a night either.
Plus when we move her she will share with her 4 yo brother so I need to wait till she's sleeping a bit better.

InternationalMuslinMountain · 24/12/2013 11:08

We are quite lucky that it worked! DS won't feed lying down so I have always got up to feed so for me it wouldn't have made much difference I guess Smile

You're definitely not alone though! Smile Hope it improves soon... Maybe Father Christmas will bring our babies the ability/inclination to sleep through the night?!?

Ds is 21 weeks and has been doing exactly the same for about 5-6 weeks including the occasional wake up for 2 hours mentioned by pp. He's in a co-sleeper and completely agree it makes life easier not to get out of bed.

He's a lot smaller at 13lb

Just to give some hope he's been brilliant the last 4 nights. 10-5ish so I'm hoping it was the 4 month regression and over now (fingers crossed!)

Good luck!

Cogitosum, you're giving me hope!
