Changes to boobs after BF

I stopped BF about 2 weeks ago. DD is 7 months and was ebf until 6 months. The trouble is since I stopped BF my left boob is very small and very empty. It is pretty saggy and any firmness has gone. Will it ever improve?

Also my left breast seems to leak occasionally despite seeming completely enpty. It is lumpy too so I'm freaking out there could be something sinister there. Of course it could be blocked ducts but there is no engorgement.

I'm going to the doctor tomorrow but wondered if anyone has had any of the following a few weeks after stopping BF:
lumpy breast but no engorgement
leaking at random
breast very 'deflated', saggy and empty
Thanks ladies.

I only breast fed for a week and both my breasts have lost their firmness and I'm dying to know if they will improve!
I'm praying my nipples will go smaller again too Confused DS is 15 weeks now, I'm not sure if it'd take longer?

I'm sorry if I have hijacked your thread!!

Best wishes! Let's hope our boobies bounce back Grin

After DS1 who I bf for 3 months, I passionately hated my breasts for about 2 years. They were totally saggy and looked awful. Then I lost about 2 stone, they got much smaller and improved vastly. Now I'm bf'ing DS2 and dreading how they will turn out as I doubt I'll be losing so much weight this time!!!

My boobs felt empty to begin with (bf for 16 months) then gradually got firmer and were back to normal after several months. Friends report different things - some get smaller, some are saggy and others are bigger than before pregnancy. I think it all depends on various factors such as genetics and how these are looked after (e.g my midwife told me to wear a bra at all times to protect and support my breasts).

It isn't bfeeding that causes the changes, it's pregnancy itself sadly! (See this BBC article).

I'm not sure there's much that can done about the general condition of your boobs, but the lumps don't sound right. Hopefully the GP can help with that. The leaking is quite normal as well, and should settle down after a while.
