I feel like this might be a bit of a silly question, but never mind!
Baby is 8 weeks old, exclusively fed expressed breast milk since birth. Takes 130ml per feed, 7 times a day, this has been the case for probably the past 3 weeks or so, having gradually increased volume at each feed.
Feeds are spread near enough like clockwork through the day, 3 hourly during the daytime, with a longer stretch between 8pm and around 2-3am. This night time stretch seems to gradually be getting a little longer (though not consistently). No idea whether she will be dropping that 2am feed at some point, but if she does, do I need to add in an extra feed during the day to make up for the "lost" milk. Or add more milk to her bottles, and just give 6 slightly larger feeds in 24 hours?
Also, should I expect now to be feeding every 3 hours during the day until she is established on solids? She sometimes might go ever so slightly longer than 3 hours, but never gets anywhere near 4 hours. I have no problems with 3-hourly feeds, I'd just like to know what to expect.
Many thanks.
