TT experts - back to green nappies in post-weaning baby?

DS2 had a pretty bad tongue-tie when he was born (tongue totally rooted to the floor of his mouth all the way to the tip) which was cut at six weeks. He'd had a few of the classic foremilk-heavy green nappies in the early weeks but generally I was pretty diligent about making sure he got lots of hindmilk and poos were a consistent yellow.

He's 8.5m now and weaning's been going ok. However, now ALL his poos are green, and I wondered whether I should be concerned that his feeding's changed somehow - could the tie be reattached and he's only getting foremilk again?

Or are green poos perfectly normal in a weaning baby and I just don't remember from the older DCs?

Can't remember on that one sorry. Hopefully this will bump though...

I would imagine that if weaning's going well, that any changes in poo would be more to do with solids than bm? I have also read somewhere that green poo can be a sign of a mild infection, or it can be a sign of extra iron in the diet. Does he have a vitamin supplement at all?

Either way it seems to be not a serious thing as long as he is otherwise healthy. If you are worried you could always take a sample along to the GP and see what they say!

Actually he's had a cold more or less constantly for about six weeks (DD brings them home from school) so that might be it - thanks!

Yup far more likely at this age to be a virus of some sort. Or a food allergy if you've given him something new recently, but virus more likely.

Don't suppose he's been eating blueberries?
