3 month old - how many FF per day?

DS is 3 months old and has been FF since 6 weeks (combination prior to that.)

He still has between 7 and 9 feeds per day, depending how many times he wakes in the night. He is often still waking every 3 hours or so to feed. He is quite a big boy, weighed 14lb 4 at last weigh in which was 2 weeks ago.

I seem to be constantly feeding him!

How many feeds does/did your 3 month old have?

Mine ds is also 3 months a little bigger than yours and eats 7 or 8 times a day (this has only started to occasionally miss the eighth feed in the last week or so).

He is having 35 to 40oz a day - but does dribble a lot soiI'm not sure how much he is keeping down.

DS had 6 x 8oz at 3 months
DD had more, about 8 x 8 oz
And a friend of ours had to order special 12 oz bottles from Avent for her DS and he still had 8 a day '

It seems he is fairly normal then. He also has between 35 and 40 ounces most days.

I just keep hearing about these babies that go for hours and hours at night without a feed. Anyone know where I can get one of those babies?! Grin

No but if you find one do let me know!

I do take bottles to bed though so I don't have to get up to get them which helps to make the nights easier.

My dd has 6 feeds of 6oz every 3hrs during day and generally sleeps 5/6hrs at night. I'm very lucky I know! But the last 2 nights she has reinstated the 2am feed, hope it's just a growth spurt!
And don't be too envious, I know her feeding pattern sounds textbook but... she has reflux which is messy, worrying & faffy, and also excema which is also worrying & faffy. :-(
