My right breast is underperforming ;)

Since the first 2 days of bf-ing my baby has seemed to latch better on my left. On the right I kept having to relatch, on day 2 I ended up with a sore bleeding nipple. I was told to use lanisoh and only use it for every 3rd feed for the rest of the day, which I did and it recovered perfectly and since then I am pretty strict on alternating even tho he seems to prefer my left. Dince I've started pumping last few days I've noticed I can get 3+ oz from my left and lucky to get 1oz from the right and it feels kind of lighter and emptier I'm general. Is there anything I can do to even up my supply? X x

OP, this sounds normal - just about everyone has one breast that's 'better' than the other one, which may or may be related to the baby's preference.

There's no need to do anything about it, really.

Is your baby still new? If so, is there any reason why you are alternating? It's usually good to ensure both breasts are at least offered each time (which may be what you are doing, and only being 'strict' at making sure you alternate which one is first....though with a young baby it's often impossible to think of separate feeds, as each one blurs into the next if the baby does any 'cluster' feeding :) ) .

Don't worry, mine were just like this and I managed to feed both of my children to nearly a year. I tended to use both sides for every feed and usually offered the right one first, which helped a bit, but I used the right one less at night because of lying on my left side so the left one did end up with a better supply overall.

When I start a new feed I offer left, if he takes a long feed then drops off, I will offer the right. He usually doesn't take it,
Occasionally he does then next feedi would start right and then offer left if he wants it. Is this wrong? He tends to go 2-3 hours between feeds except the evenings when he
Cluster feeds a bit x

That sounds fine, OP :)

Did your little one have a BCG? A few friends have struggled to latch on one side as their babies didn't like the injection site coming into contact with anyone or anything. A change in position can help.
