What is everyone wearing to keep warm but also have easy access for BF?

Oh, and still look not too fat and frumpy reasonably stylish and normal.

I've got really attached to mamafeelsgood t-shirts. They keep my tummy nice and warm and look like normal t-shirts.

Bit pricey, but often on ebay for less.

I do the two layer combo: long vest that I pull down, and warm long sleeve top that I pull up.
If I want to be super toasty I also go for a long scarf.

I never bothered with specific nursing tops.

laughingeyes2013 · 24/11/2013 18:38

Are t-shirts warm enough though? Or do you live in cardigan to try and keep you warm. I'm looking ahead to the expected coldest winter since the 1940's and somehow a cardigan doesn't cut it!

Rosiebells - do you go for light tops to pull up?

Most of mine are so bulky and tickle baby's nose Shock

I wear a stretchy long sleeved top (Sainsburys do cheap ones, I'm so stylish) and a cardigan (open, or with a belt just to save the hassle of buttons) over the top.

laughingeyes2013 · 24/11/2013 18:47

I've got a bunch of plain cotton tops that are thin enough, but just seem a bit too thin. In fact they're like wearing sacks and with a vest underneath I look so podgy Sad

A nursing top and a knitted wrap - I don't want to call it a poncho but it is Grin

Bumblequeen · 24/11/2013 18:50

I wear a vest and long sleeve top which I can pull up. If wearing dresses they have to be low cut.

Cucumberscarecrow · 24/11/2013 18:58

I wear normal clothes (but not dresses) with a cami and nursing bra. I pull up the outer layer(s) and pull down the cami and unhook the nursing bra and stick baby on the exposed boob. Nursing bras are the only items of clothing I have that are actually designed for breastfeeding.

FrumiousBandersnatch · 24/11/2013 19:02

The whole uniqlo heattech range is excellent but I am currently in the camisoles - very thin layer, nice and warm, easily pulled down for feeding.

MooseBeTimeForSnow · 24/11/2013 19:14

Merino nursing tops from BoobDesign here. If I'm outside then this fleece top

mrsbev · 24/11/2013 19:53

These jumpers are great - the top 4 buttons undo making BF easy and they look stylish too.

Ok so im a little strange. I just went to h&m and got some long sleeved stretchy tops, cut the top so instead of scooping under my neck they scoop under my boobs (kinda like breastvest) then a couple of big warm jumpers. Pull jumper up, bra down and go! Tummy stays warm! ;)

laughingeyes2013 · 25/11/2013 05:20

Cindy - do the big warm jumpers get in the way?

I find mine are too bulky or itchy for him.

callamia · 25/11/2013 09:36

I've got a long sleeved top from mamafeelsgood, and a long sleeve top from JojoMaman. Both work well with jeans and skirts.

But! I've done similar to Cindy, I realised that all I really needed was an easy access thin layer to go under regular jumpers so that I could hitch them up, but have something underneath. I've cut an old thin base layer top down the front, so I can pull the neck to the side and feed under my jumper without needing to expose my middle. I'm also wearing vests and camis that are easy to pull down.

Boob design tops/dresses under cardigans. I also have one of their toasty BF hoodies which is very snuggly.

cindyrella · 25/11/2013 18:39

I tend to wear soft and big jumpers. Doesnt seem to bother her!
