Breast fed and really watery pop

DS is 4 weeks and BF really well. He does suffer from wind quite badly, not so much burping more passing wind and poo-ing.

I have been doing quite a bit of baby massage and noticed tonight that his poo was really watery. Not to provide TMI but if was more watery at the end-the start seemed pretty normal.

What could be causing such watery poo? Is there a problem with his feeding?

Any ideas?

What do you mean by watery?

12wo BF DD has liquid poo all the time. Sometimes it's more like a thin smoothie and sometimes more like coloured water with little spots in it.

It's all normal, or certainly DS was the same so I'm presuming it's normal!

Mmmm difficult to explain-but a lot more liquid than the inital poo-like it was almost like yellow water whereas initially it was like nearly melted ice cream. Does that make sense?! It was just more noticeably runny and definitely clearer.

To begin with a poo should look like marmite with a greenish tinge. Following that should look green rather like pesto. After that it should fade into a yellow rather like mustard and then have bits in it like wholegrain mustard. Then a matured ebf baby should have poo that resembles korma sauce both in colour (yellowy brown) and texture

This is what is normal for an exclusively breast feed child

Well it's def the right colour at the beginning and for the most part it sounds like whole grain mustard but there is still this watery bit at the end. Clearly this doesn't fall into the description of an exclusively BF baby, which he is.
So based on that anyone any idea what is causing this? Should I be worried?

I've had that too with my LO. Not always but sometimes. No idea about cause or how normal though...

This is my baby poo bible

baby poo

It describes a wide range of normal for bf
