Using a dummy to train a breastfed baby to take a bottle?

Has anyone given their baby a soother or dummy solely for the reason of getting them used to sucking on something to transition them to a bottle?

I have tried giving my baby Avent orthodontic ones which she hated, then after a few weeks I have the Mam Perfect one and Starter soother but she doesn't seem overly enthusiastic about them either. Is it a case of holding it in until they get used to it, or if they like it, will they just suck away?

I'm using MAM bottles so I guess it may help if she would take the Mam soother - she is breastfed and we have had difficulty getting her to take a bottle but she will take a bit from the Mam ones.

Hi, I had this problem with my first baby when she was little. She refused dummy and bottle, in the end it was patience, patience and more patience, my mum helped, she was walking around the room with my baby screaming in her arms, offering her a bottle every 3 mins or so, took half an hour but once she took it, she took it every time. I was glad she didn't take dummy in the end, my second baby is almost 3 now and still wants dummy to sleep! Stay strong and don't give up, babies can take a while to accept new things, but they do in the end. I wouldn't offer dummy, just bottle

Yes if you want baby to take the bottle, then offer bottle.
Mine takes any bottle (we use medela calma so can swap between bf) but she refuses any dummy.
