How many letdowns?

I know how long is a piece of string...

I don't have a problem with my letdown at the beginning of a feed. However, some days I notice that that I get more letdowns through the feed than others (characterised by sensation &/or feeding pace). Some feeds I only notice the one at the beginning. DD is a slow feeder at the moment (typically up to an hour at a time - 10wks old) & I wondered whether I am getting 'enough' letdowns or whether I am slowing her down IYSWIM.

I think you get ones that you don't notice too though. TBH, if I went by feeling/feeding pace I'd say I rarely get more than one per feed. BabyDragon is huge so clearly she's getting enough. She does like comfort sucking at the end of a feed though (all suck and no swallow so I'm sure it's not feeding Also, if i unlatch her and put he on the other breast, she's rarely interested) is this what your DD is doing? Do you unlatch her and put her on the other after a good period of time/when it's all suck no swallow?

I wouldn't worry about letdowns - some mums don't feel them at all.

I don't feel them with every feed and sometimes they are very intense. As Soupy says some (the majority) suck for comfort at the end of the feed.

In the early days - and at 10 weeks bf is still getting established - every feed is different.

I do think there is a lot of leisurely feeding going on at the end, but not totally 'dry'comfort sucking cos when I unlatch here there is milk in her mouth. A BFC suggested changing sides earlier to quicken her pace - which it does. But this led to bright green stools so I have stopped doing this unles I am in a 'hurry'.
