DD is now 7 months and bar about 10 ounces she has been EBF which i love but its starting to become a pain!

She wakes every 2 hours day and night to be fed, won't go to sleep unless she's being fed and just screams if this doesn't happen and tbh its just grating on me now.

i also feel like i don't have a life as i can't go out to see friends, family or anything social as she didn't even stay down long enough in the evening for me to nip out.

At the same time though my DS was FF and much the same but atleast i could get a break, anyone else the sane?

Hmmm maybe a little gentle sleep training is required as opposed to a switch from BF to formula? Doesn't need to be the end of BF if you don't want it to be.

You have done so well to get this far EBF, but can totally see how it is a very long time to go without any time to yourself. I EBF my first son for 16 months (second son is three weeks and hoping to EBF him too) and from 3 months he was on a routine which worked well and after some v gentle sleep training at 4 months he went down at 7, took a dream feed of expressed milk at 10:30 and slept til 7. He did 7 til 7 from when he was weaned at 6 months.

My point is it can be done - when I was in the thick of it I never thought he would get into a routine but we managed it.

How is she with solids? Is she eating well during the day? Do you have a bedtime / nap time routine?

I agree, I doubt she's waking that often due to hunger, it's more likely to be a feed to sleep habit so I would do sleep training (whatever form you feel comfortable with) rather than switching to ff.
