I've just returned to work this week, and DD is 11 months old. I work 8 hour shifts with 1/2 hour traveling time each way. So far my supply seems to be adjusting. I feed twice in the night (including waking her to feed at 10pm ish when I get home from work) and frequently in the day.
Work have announced today that they're changing our shifts to 13 hour days (so over 14 including traveling). Although I have massive concerns for lots of other reasons, a big concern is how my supply will work (or not).
I'll only be working 3 days a week instead of 5, but those 3 days I'll be leaving at 6:45am and not back until 9:15ish. I can feed her just before I leave, and as soon as I get back, but will this work? I'd really like to keep feeding her for as long as possible, but I just can't see that this is going to work.
Is it possible? Will my supply adjust or am I going to find that my body will get confused feeding frequently some day and barely at all on others.
Any advice/thoughts?
