Advice needed re anti-colic bottles (Dr Brown's etc)

Do they make it easier for babies to feed?
Dd4 (14 weeks) has a heart condition and at the moment is mostly fed via a NG tube (goes down her nose into her stomach). She will tolerate a bottle but seems to suck for ages and not take much more than 10-20ml. She also vomits quite easily (reflux has been ruled out)I wonder if this is partly due to the tube. What I am looking for is something that allows her to feed at her own pace but with minimal effort.
TIA

Catj...I used Dr brown bottles with my dd, she was lactose intolerant but thought for quite a while she had colic, they do help them feed alot easier as no air bubbles are in the milk.

have you heard of the haberman feeder? It is designed for babies with feeding problems and lets them regulate their own feeding. They are expensive but think you can now get them in mothercare:

Haberman Feeder

I would ask the hospital about a haberman feeder, you should be offered 1 to try, it works in rewarding the baby's weakest suck with milk, but unlike standard bottles the baby cannot be flooded with milk.

Hope that helps.

We got Dr Browns and to be honest apart from the price and a little funny artifact on it they were not better than the others...

Doctor Brown's worked fantastically for dd, she changed from the first feed. No more crying, vomiting and disgusting nappies. I would definately use them from the start I have another. I have no experience of the Haberman but the Baby Whisperer recommends them.
