Ds is nearly 8 weeks and exclusively Breastfed and has awful wind. He's on colief which has helped loads and he no longer has long bouts of crying but after every feed he fusses and cries, goes red, brings up his legs etc.
The biggest problem is that it isn't resolved by burping. I'll wind him and he'll often do a few burps but will still be gagging and squirming for hours after. He also brings up quite a lot after each feed. During the day he sleeps in the sling so it's not too bad as the wind just comes up but after his feed at night he doesn't properly go back to sleep as he's trying to bring up wind all night. It sounds like he's got hairballs! He farts a lot at night too and this doesn't seem to relieve him either.
Does this sound normal? I thought they'd bring up one or two burps after a feed and that'd be it but he can burp 4-5 times and still seems to have wind left!
I have an oversupply of milk and try to feed lying back (the night time feed is lying down) but we're still having this issue. It also means during the day he can't sleep anywhere but the sling as the wind wakes him up.
2 hours after a feed he's still gagging and bringing up milk!
Infacol etc does nothing.
