At how many months/years did you stop?
Also, how did you continue feeding after the teeth came through?

I am BFing DD at 5 months although supplementing some but want to continue to do it as long as I can.

Also DDs teeth are nearly through and I want to know how you manage to continue feeding afterwards, as obviously the teeth are pretty sharp.

Thanks in advance for answering my questions.

Still feeding at 16 months. No problems with teeth. The tongue covers them when feeding. Have only been bitten once when dc fell asleep and sort of 'clamped' me by accident!

Fed dd1 till 2y7m, still feeding dd2 at 23m. A good latch means you won't feel the teeth.

DD was 15m when she went on a nursing strike and never resumed.

Hoping DS (3weeks) will do at least as long - will let him self wean. Good latch will take teeth out of play.

Oh OK that's good I just had to check.

She can get a bit distracted so was worried the teeth might come into play there. :)

You definitely don't feel the teeth. WHO recommends you feed for at least 2yrs and I think most children have at least 1 tooth by then!

I fed dd for 3 and a half years and 2yo ds is still bfing.

4 years. Obviously this isn't a requirement! I just never saw the need to wean, he stopped by himself :)

Teeth aren't an issue, you sometimes get a bit of rubbing when a new one comes through for a few days and then they seem to get used to it and sort their latch out and it's fine. If you put your little finger into your mouth and suck it, that shows you the position of the infant mouth around the nipple and you'll see that teeth don't really come into play because their mouths are more open than that.
