Feeling really guilty about the lack of time I can give my 3 year old son...he seems down :-( he's used to mummy all to himself...really tempted to go buy some formula and have more of a routine for his sake, ds2 is nearly 3 weeks, also feel really guilty at the idea of doing this...

It[s tough
If you go to formula you'll have to spend time sterilising, washing and making bottles
Can you work on feeding with one arm so you can still do stuff with him?
Your DS is going to have to share you now and that won't change
Good luck whatever you decide.

We sit and read together and play games/draw etc but while baby is deciding to feed constantly I feel awful saying not yet all the time, he is being understanding jus seems not quite himself, probably upsetting me more than him. Worried the constant feeding will never end as with my eldest it never actually got any better 😁

:(
My eldest was the same, CONSTANT feeding. When DD was born, she unlatched and I was really stressed, wondering why she's not latching back on, what is wrong with her...turns out she had just had enough - something DS never did :o

My gut says stick with it, give it another couple of weeks, see how it's going then. You've done really really well. But ultimately it is up to you, you know best.

Would he be interested in helping, in his new role as best big brother ever?
DS used to race down the stairs to hold DD's hand when she was crying having her nappy changed, the memory still brings a tear to my eye

When DD was 2.5 weeks old and DS was just 3, I asked my MW the dame question OP. She said to do whatever made me happy and worked for us asca family. DH was despatched to Tesco immediately.

Yes, you' ll spend time making up bottles, but I did a day' s worth in the evenings when DS was in bed. For night feeds and days out, I used a combination of cartons, and a very good cool bag called Fridge to Go, which you can get from Argos.
