DS is 8mths & has been EBF.

I return to work full time 2wks before his first birthday so I need to wean him off my boobs but not sure how long it will take?

He doesn't really have a set BF pattern & still feeds on demand.

Thanks x

I was on summer holiday in France still BF my DD less than 4 weeks before going back to teaching....we just made it thanks to my Mum's intervention! It was easier than I thought took a couple of days to get her to take bottle at all with my milk in then slowly graduated to mostly formula for daytime still did two feeds for several weeks after going back work tho. Good luck and keep doing one feed for as long as you want/can its lovely. Good luck...

Yeah, you don't need to stop BF completely unless you want to. You also might find feeds drop fairly naturally between now and a year as baby ramps up on solids, I went back when DS1 was 11 months and he ended up only having one bottle to replace one feed while I was at work - I BF morning and evening for another year.

Serial post to add that my DS2 is currently around the same age as yours and I'm also going back when he's just under a year, and amn't really consciously doing anything to drop feeds yet. Having done it before I can kind of see when during the day he's losing interest and taking more interest in his solid meals, so will if necessary encourage that pattern in a month or two, but given DS1, I may not have to.
