Dd feeding habits really annoying me

My dd is 6 months in a few says and I'm really at myths end of my tether with the way she is feeding. I've been reluctantly breastfeeding her for 6 months as she is a bottle refuser and I've tried everything I can to get her to take anything, bottle, cup, straw, but she won't have it and that means she hasn't left my side this whole time. My dh attempted to take her for a walk to I could clean (that's my me time now as I have a 2 year old as well) and she didn't stop screaming. She came back and was fine when I popped her on the breast.
When she feeds she thrashes around, kicks her legs, tries to climbs up on me, pinches me, slaps me, scratches me, sometimes screams. She's doing it now and it's so annoying, especially in public.
She feeds every 1-2 hrs at night. I get hardly any sleep. Weaning has not helped at all. I just don't know what to do. :(

Some may disagree with me, but I think at 6 months and on solids it is fine to cut down on night feeds if you want. Maybe aim for 2 night feeds, one at your bedtime and one in the night? You'll need your DH on hand to offer alternative comfort in the night while you're not feeding.

I would also suggest it's a good thing for you DH to look after her for a couple of hours at a time in the day while you get a break too. It won't hurt her to be with her dad for a bit. Taking her out so you can't hear the screaming sounds like a good idea!

The distress at the breast and the confort feeding at night sound alot like reflux. Specifically silent reflux linked to an intolerance to cows milk proteins from your diet that are entering your milk. If it is your daughter will have horrid stomach cramps and heartburn day in day out so is likely to be as miserable as you. The only way to know for sure is to eliminate all, even traces, of dairy and soya for a month to see if it helps. If it is cmpi avoiding these foods or puttingdc on a true hypoallergenic formula such as neocate and use of antacids such as ranitadine or omeprazole could give you all your lives back.
