Can you buy Aptimel Pepti 2 at the supermarket?

Or does it have to be prescribed?

9mo DD had a fairly serious reaction to eating dairy a couple of months ago that resulted in us taking her to A&E. We were told not to give her dairy, eggs or gluten until she is older.

I went to the doctor to try to get a referral to a dietician/nutritionist to get the allergy investigated further but he was not helpful and said it was an issue I needed to take up with my HV. It took 3 weeks of phoning before I saw her and she said she would follow it up but that was 2 weeks ago and we've still heard nothing.

I am getting stressed as I got back to work in 4 weeks and I am not able to express daytime feeds (I've tried and I can barely get anything out). I want to continue to feed her morning and night but I'm worried she won't be getting enough milk. I spoke to the doctor about this and asked if he could prescribe a cow milk free formula but he wouldn't listen to me.

Several close friends/family with children with similar allergies have said this is the formula to get the doctor to prescribe. I was wondering if we could buy it ourselves but when I google I'm not finding much information.

Can anyone give me some advice?

Suggest you call the Aptimil helpline - number on their website.

Hope you get some help soon from the HCPs....poor service so far, for sure :(

Thanks tiktok, I'll have a look at their website and give them a call.
