Best Bottles for Wind/Colic.

DD is a "windy" baby. Despite using Infacol & winding her every oz or so of the bottles, she will waken up screaming an hour or two after a feed. When I lift her up, she'll let out a big burp then stop crying.

We're currently using ordinary Tommee Tippee bottles but wondered about the new "comfort" ones, or changing to a different brand.

Any tips for the best bottles?

Mothercare does a new range of anti colic bottles where the teat is tilted to stop any air getting in. Seems to be quite good. Dr. Browns are really good for wind and colic too.

Lots we had the Dr Brown's for our first but found them fiddly to clean.

We got the Mam antic colic bottles this time and I thought they were brill. There are a few parts but as you take the base of the bottle off to clean I thought you could do it easily.

Great for getting rid of air trapped in bubbles.

They are also self sterilising and if you buy the starter kit (check amazon) you can convert the little ones to drinking cups for older babies.

I've loved them! (can u tell Wink)

By self sterilising I don't mean they are magic Grin I mean you can do them in the microwave without a sterlisilser so handy for out and about.

We had success with Dr Browns too. Annoying to clean though.
Started on tommy tippee, then got the anti colic version, then tried medela (thin neck) then the one for special needs (we were desperate), we also had Yumi bottles which although good for heating up milk- horrible for wind.
Eventually after a few months settled on ordinary Avent bottles, but this may be down to her finally growing out of it. Grin

Thanks everyone. I've ordered a couple of the new anti-colic Tommee Tippee ones as I have the TT steriliser & will see if it improves.

If not, your suggestions will be very helpful.

I quite like Nuk bottles as I find my LO burps better with them! We tried the Dr Brown bottles and I struggled to get any burps so they may have worked, however they didn't work for her reflux.. It's all trial and error. Maybe buy one bottle at a time to try, it's so frustrating!!
