14 months old bf - what about cow milk?

My DD2 is 14 months old ? I am still bf ( mainly mornings, during the night 3-4 times and before bed - it feels not a lot as each time 1 min or so...). What about milk in a bottle? Is bf milk enough or does she need additional cow milk because of calcium etc?

No need for cows milk if still bfeeding, she can have cheese/yog etc as well if you are worried about calcium :)

If she also eats cheese and yoghurt then these will add to her calcium intake.

It could be that she is super efficient at bf now so gets all she needs very quickly!

You could give her cows milk in a cup during the day if you wanted?

Fwiw my 12mo DS bf similar amounts and I haven't given him cows milk as he eats a pretty well balanced diet.

My DS1 never drank cow's milk at all - just had probably about the same amount of breastmilk at your DD's age, and then went down to just morning and evening until he weaned at 2.5. I offered it to him but he didn't like it (his dad was the same as a kid). He ate, and eats, plenty of other dairy and calcium-rich foods, has occasional milk on cereal, and drinks lots of water, so gets everything calcium and hydration-wise from that. Cow's milk is a nutritious food but it's not necessary for toddlers unless they want to drink it - offer it but don't feel she has to have it, IYKWIM.
