Breast feeding

My daughter is 3weeks old tomorrow and we are breast feeding.

It's going well but after I've fed her I get a tingly/burning feeling in my nipple for a while.
It goes probably after about an hour.
I'd just like to know is this normal, does anyone else get this feeling.
It's still a little uncomfortable to latch her on but once she's on its not painful i just have to count to 10!!!
Can anyone give me some advise. Thank you

Sounds like she is compressing your nipple during feeding, reagizmo - that's the most likely reason. What does the nipple look like after feeding? A few tweaks to the way you are attaching her may help. have you got a bf support group near you? Is your HV knowledgeable about bf? Can you call a bf support line? Some babies have a tongue tie that means they are more likely to hurt the mum's nipple (this can be snipped if necessary).

Thank you, I've been to the HV this morning and have had her watch my daughter latch on and she doing that fine. She thinks I has thrush in my nipples so have been to the doctor and now have cream to put on. Even though there is no sign of discharge or any white in her mouth. Giving this cream a couple of days then if no better going to go back as there's oral medicine you can take for it.
My nipples are still the same shape when she comes off and its not painful to feed her its just after each feed.
