Hi my 10 week old DD has been diagnosed with Tongue tie.
Gp is using the nhs 'chose & book' thing.

Can anyone recommend a hospital, or should we just go to the one with the shortest waiting list?

Thanks

Location might be too far out but I know the team at East Surrey in Redhill and they're good. TT clinic done by senior midwife or infant feeding lead (trained midwife), supported by Infant Feeding Co-Ordinators to check feeding afterwards.

Personally I'd go to a surgeon esp if its a posterior tongue tie. snips by LCs seem to be more likely to end up reattaching (based on my completely non scientific perusal of stories on MN and elsewhere).

we saw Graham Smith at Kingston hospital, he does the snips in the evenings which might make it a bit easier for you, though if you're in Essex Kingston is a pain.

Hmmm minipie I'm in a bit of a paddy at the mo- paed surgeon or LC.

Just don't know what to do, but we need it done quick!
