Milk blister/ bleb won't go away

I have had a milk blister on one nipple for a few weeks. It causes a burning sensation down one side of my breast when touched and is very sore on latching. I've tried popping it, rubbing the skin off and it sometime relieves it but it comes back and bigger. Can the doctors do anything?
Anyone have similar and solved it at home?

Scratching off and expressing has always worked for me, but there are some other suggestions here:

Have a look at Kelly mom on difference between blisters a d milk blisters. I had blisters from poor latch which needed to be sorted before they went away. My Milk blister went very quickly once it had popped abd lots of back up milk came out.

I had one of these this week and I popped it in the shower - it drained for about 2 minutes and I then expressed for AGES as more "lumps" kept flowing out and blocking it. I put baby to that breast for the next 2 feeds to properly clear it.

But perhaps you've tried all that if it's been 2 weeks?

Have you tried different positions with her? Ideally her chin should be in line with the duct for the most power.

As you've been getting it for a few weeks I'd do a little hand expressing on it every day in the shower to keep it free flowing - and there is a massage where you cup your hands over your boobs and wiggle them around (as if you're mixing up a bag of marbles with your palms)

Thanks for the link noble some things on there I haven't tried yet, or haven't tried for long enough. Pretty sure its a milk blister as opposed to a friction blister but i'll do a bit more research thanks mcbaby
Maggie bags of marbles made me laugh out loud!! that's what my boobs resemble nowadays!!

If its a milk blister I was advised to massage with an electric toothbrush to break the lump down by my lactation consultant! It really seemed to help.
