is it necessary to store the boiled water for feeds in the fridge or can it be left at room temperature? So much confusing advice out there!

i always stored it in sterilised bottles at room temperature.

i read something the other day saying that new advice is not to store water - to boil it fresh each time. will see if i can remember where i read it (nct magazine maybe?) and post a link...

Twiglett · 30/05/2006 13:24

on the side in sterilised bottles .. then can just add formula shake and go

only did it for 24 hours though

Tutter · 30/05/2006 13:34

sorry - think it was the nct mag but i've thrown my copy out.

I do the same as twiglett.

So is it ok to fully assemble the bottle, ie with teat or should you sterilise teat soon before using. Have read that if you use steam steriliser, must use all equipment wihin 3 hours. This seem a bit extreme as know many people who make up feeds 24 hours in advance advance)

i made up feeds 24 hours in advance and stored em at the back of the fridge, then used a bottle warmer to heat them up, w/dd1. didn't have any probs.
