I need a whinge

I need a self indulgent, poor me, boo hoo whinge. I've got a 16 month old who has been on and off the boob every 10 minutes for the last 2 days. I need a break!

She's fine if I'm not here, but I'm a SAHM so I usually am, but the minute I come back she's on me crying and asking. If I say no she goes bonkers.

We currently co sleep, but that is going to change very soon because she wakes for milk every 2 hours, always has done, and It's grinding me down. She is teething, but I don't think it is that because there's always a tooth popping up here and there and it has never been like this before.

Please can someone tell me this will end?

My DD only 10 months so no great advice here but just to say I hear ya! Sometimes it can feel like they're on you all the time and as lovely as it is, sometimes you just need a break from it! Every 2 hrs for 16 mos! H

So does she feed when she asks or comfort suck? i guess it must just be little drinks if so. Does she eat many solids/take much water?

Have a Wine :)

My dd was exactly the same. We moved her out at 14 months when she wanted to play rather than feed. The night wakings became less and stopped once we stopped bfing, but she was older? Have you read the kellymom stuff on feeding toddlers?

Yes I am tired, I walk around in a blur most of the time! I've not read that no, I'll have a look thanks.

I've seen Dr Jay Gordon's method for night weaning co-sleeping toddlers recommended, although I've not used it myself

Would getting out of the house during the day help break the constant feeding? If she's playing at the park or soft play, you might get the chance for a sit down!

I think that was the problem yesterday, I had no car and it was raining so we spent all day in one room virtually. I've shipped her off to grandma and grandad this afternoon while I get her bedroom sorted.
