Still no period 2 months after stopping BFing/expressing. When to worry?

I stopped feeding DD2 over 2 months ago, and was cutting down gradually for a month before that, but no sign yet of periods returning. With DD1 it came back when she was 3mo and I was still feeding part-time then. Should I see my GP, or is this normal?

Bumping. Anyone? (Maybe this is the wrong place to ask, seeing as people reading this topic are more likely to have just started BFing.)

Bumping for you as have no idea- sorry! Someone will come along soon who know I'm sure.

Are you using contraception? If pregnancy is ruled out then don't worry, it can take a while for your hormones to get back into a routine, it varies person to person.

Great nn btw op

Not using contraception, no Blush, although it hasn't exactly been much of an issue iykwim BlushBlush. My hormones have always been a bit weird, took ages for my periods to come back after stopping taking the pill to ttc, both times.

And thank you Grin

I stopped bf after 3.5 weeks but still didn't get my period until about 12 weeks after the birth. Am told it's normal. Oh one thing - expect a heavy period! I hadn't realised just how heavy!! Shock

Hi, I was wondering if you had your period return? I am having a similar issue and wanted to see if you found out any useful information?

It took 6 months for mine to come back so I wouldn't worry too much yet, even if it came back earlier next time. your hormone levels might be different, with this being a 2nd baby.
