What temperature does the water need to be for the growing up milk?

Our DD is on Aptamil growing up milk 1+year. Does it still need to be made up with water above 70oC or can it be made with cold, but previously boiled water? Reading the packaging it seems okay with the latter, but is not very clear.

We want DD off formula really and onto cows milk but she just won't drink cows milk yet.

No idea re the water temperature.

But some mums have had good luck moving their toddlers off formula by gentle transition - so you give 3/4 formula 1/4 cow's milk for a bit, then slowly move to entirely cow's milk.

If its a dry powder I should think you should still have to make it up with water above 70. Its the bacteria that can grow in the powder that you need to be wary of.

Did you know though that you can ditch the bottles and the formula at 12 months. As long as Lo gets 300ml of full fat cows milk per day. It would also save you a fortune Smile

Can that milk be included in other dairy products like cheese and yogurt, or are they 'extras'

Think the NHS recommend 300ml per day, but lots of people see things like cheese and yogurt as part of that. Its definitely ok to count milk used in cooking too, like ready brek, fish pie, cauliflower cheese and rice pudding Smile
