A poo question...

My dd is 16 weeks old and ebf. She is a prolific pooer - upto 12 times per day. There isn't huge volume but they come out with an awful lot of force and are quite mucousy. She also poos quite a bit at night. She is very unsettled before hand and then we wake her up when we change her anyway. If it wasn't for all the pooing I think she would sleep quite well.
She was a very colicky baby to start with but has improved as time has gone on. We even had a 2 week period where it all settled down and she was pooing every other day. This stopped as soon as it started.
She is my 4th child and all the others were ebf but we have never had one like this. Is this normal? Will it settle down when we introduce some solids or should I look into my diet a bit more?
Thanks in advance

Does she seem to be in pain when passing them? My DS2 had painful, smelly, mucousy green poos seven times a day at 16 weeks. It all cleared up in the first week of weaning although of course that could have been coincidence.

Sometimes she is in pain with it but I think it is more of a general discomfort e.g at night she is unsettled for a while, then she has a poo and totally relaxes. Very frustrating as we then have to change her just as she is calming down again. During the day she has to strain quite hard but there is A LOT of noise.
Her poos aren't too green. Just mucousy. She gets nappy rash quite often with the frequency of them.

Mine was a 10 times a day ebf baby up until 4 months, then they magically changed. She now goes every day or every other day. Breastfed babies can do crazy amounts, but it will settle down.
