I'm getting in a bit of a flap about how much milk my DD is having. She has just turned 12 months, and I BF twice a day (first thing in the morning, and just before she goes to bed). She was also having a BF after her afternoon nap, but in the last week has been climbing off my lap to go and play so I was wondering about dropping that feed. Then I did some googling and read that she needs to be having 300 ml of milk a day. Obviously I have no idea how much breastmilk she is getting. So, yesterday I tried her on a cup of cows milk, which she didn't want. Today I tried formula milk (she occasionally has formula if I can't BF as out in the evening etc), and again, she didn't want it. She eats a pretty varied diet, with a yogurt (small pot) a day plus a bit of milk to dampen her breakfast cereal, she likes cheese and butter too. Should I preserve with drinking cows milk (or formula) if she ends up dropping the afternoon BF? Thanks. I'm overseas, so no HV to ask (I could go to see paediatrician I suppose...).
