EBF to formula and quantities

DD is just over 9 months. She was EBF for 7 months, mix fed briefly and for the last few weeks is now fully FF. We starting weaning at 6 months and she's been fairly uninterested in solids so far. She can easily drink 28 - 30 ozs in a day (24) hours, and I wasn't sure if this was too much? This is across 5 bottles, one of which is a night feed. We always offer milk before meals and leave about an hour between the two, but she doesn't eat very much :( my instinct is to keep doing what we're doing but I can't help worrying about how much milk she has versus solids. I realise this part is more suitable for the Weaning board but wanted to post here to get perspectives from other FF mums if possible on quantities at this age. Thank you!

Lots of babies have a night feed at 7 months so that's not an issue in itself

If she is having a range of tastes and textures that is good

when you say she isn't eating very much; she is eating tho

some babies are just not interested in solids until they get older

My DD was one of them - she is still a small and picky eater now and at 9 months was having plenty of breastmilk and a 10 pm feed of BM

she would maybe have some cereal for breakfast, a little bit of fruit and then lunch was a sandwich with yoghurt and dinner some sort of protein and veg

last night (she is 3 years) she had about half a jacket potato, carrot sticks and cucumber and that was it

she just isn't interested - but she is happy, healthy and growing nicely

What happens if you don't give her a bottle before a solids meal? Does she eat more then?

Am not an expert, but the advice on weaning I was given at 6mo (almost a year ago now) was very definitely to shove as much into my DC2 solids-wise as possible, especially things like cheesy mash and yoghurts. And milk after meals, not before. I was mixed-feeding by 9mo but DC2 was very good at letting me know when he wanted milk, and by then it was mostly a "topping-up" thing and comfort, when he wanted to nap. He still did (and does at 16mo now) like to guzzle a big bottle at bedtime though, and sometimes in the mornings.

Also, don't forget that when they are teething they lose their appetites completely and only want milk, ditto when they are unwell.
